Sometimes we need to take a break from playing online poker but still need our poker fix. And what better way then to read how the professional players think and the way they live their lives through a poker player blog? Below are the top ten list of poker player blogs that are a must read for any poker fan who enjoys either some light entertainment or poker strategy from the professionals.

The reason why these poker player blogs below are included in the top ten list is because they discuss topics on the following

  • current state of the online games
  • explaining flaws in their own games and their plans to correct it
  • well explained poker concept posts
  • Entertaining Trip Reports (with photos!)
  • Degenerate gambling stories from the past or about other players
  • Poker challenges
  • Hand Histories with detailed thought processes

1. Alvin “Citizenwind” Lau

Alvin is a Cardrunners coach and pulls no punches when he describes what it takes to beat the current online poker games. Every time you read one of his posts you feel motivated to take on the online poker world with a renewed zest.

2. AE Jones

This is a classic poker blog. Even though AE Jones is running his own business which must be time consuming enough and playing high stakes, he still posts on a regular occurrence on his Leggo Poker Blog. His posts can be about anything and it reads like a personal journal.

3. Pawel “Verneer” Nazarewicz

You can tell Verneer was a teacher before he decided to try poker for a living. Most of his posts are structured in a way that he wants the reader to come away from reading the post having learned something. It’s like whenever he has a realisation, he straight away posts about it so we too can learn from his mistakes or observations.

4. Peter Halberg

Peter is the 2004 World Backgammon Champion, was born in Korea but raised in Denmark and this is one of the find blogs for me this year. Well thought out and motivating blog posts. I’m kind of surprised that he is only playing 200nl but looks like he is comfortable and happy playing at that level.

5. Christopher “FenderJaguar” Leather

Self titled “The Madhatter Poker Ramblings of Christopher Leather AKA FenderJaguar” and it is as described. there is some quality stuff here not to mention some damn good photshop images. He is a Deuces Cracked poker coach and always entertaining and educational.

6. John O Shea

This is a Boylesports sponsored young poker pro from Ireland who plays mainly mid stakes PLO online but has had some decent big buy-in MTT success, most notable coming 6th in last years 25k 5 Star World Poker Classic which is part of the WPT schedule. He’s not afraid to speak his mind and is brutally honest in his blog. One of his stand out posts where he cleaned out a visiting business man in Ireland’s biggest ever casino held poker game. He is also a fan of sports betting so definitely a degenerate streak in him!

7. Tony “Bond18″ Dunst

I just recently acquainted myself with this blog and glad I did. Tony Dunst is well known in the online poker world but I never realised that he kept such an informative, engaging and regularly updated blog like this. He must spend days putting his blog posts together and he would definitely be able to make a regular income as a journalist.

8. Padraig Parkinson

What can we say about Padraig Parkinson

- He’s Irish and proud of it

- He like s a few drinks

- He knows how to tell a good story

He was an excellent contributor when on the The Poker Show with Jesse May and had told some cracking stories, which he now relays in his card player blog. Its been around for a while so check out all his past posts to see him slate some of the well known and unknown characters in the poker world.

9. Clayton Newman

The guys at Leggo Poker seem to know how to write blogs! This is another journal type blog where Clayton muses on general observations, his own poker an non poker related goals and general goings on in his own life. I like seeing other peoples brag graph’s and he is not afraid to post those!

10. Steve Boreham

Steve is a card runners endorsed pro and his blog contains a mix of everything from hand histories, to motivational posts to general observations. Also not afraid to post his HEM results.

Buying links is a better casino advertising option for two reasons. First, all casino links brings targeted traffic to your online gambling website. When you buy or rent a link on a gambling related website, it drives relevant traffic or real gamblers to your online casino website and obviously this kind of traffic is more likely to convert into sale.

Second, relevant links increase the natural search engine rankings of your online casino site. Remember: Here, the word ‘relevant’ doesn’t mean that not all casino links help to increase your search engine rankings. These days, search engines use links in their own relevancy. By ensuring that your casino site is linked to from certain gambling related websites, you’re ensuring that your casino site will be included and ranked properly. This is one of the basic techniques in improving your natures search engine rankings.

This is so called ‘link popularity’ and especially on Google, it’s a deciding factor on whether your site your will rank well or not. The quality of the links, also known as PageRank, is also an important factor in the search engines. This PageRank is based on the number and quality of inbound links pointing to your casino websites.

As you have probably learned, after reading the above, exchanging links online with whomsoever interested is not such a good idea. Also, it’s a fact that if you are listing your casino site on so called link farms, then you are inviting Google to decrease your ranking.

When you really want and also able to spend a few bucks on valuable links with relevant casino websites, then you will get more traffic to your website and you can also sell links on your casino site as well. Now you would be thinking – Where to sell these Casinos links? Advertising-Sites.info, it’s a casino advertising site which provides complete gambling advertising services like Paid Text Links Ads, Banner Advertising, Blogroll Advertising, Article and Blog Writing at really affordable prices.

Many things have changed since the first online casino was introduced in the middle of the 1990s. While in the first years after their appearance online casinos were little more than internet-based venues, fierce competition, advanced technologies, and the growing demands of modern customers have resulted in a service which is not very different from a local neighborhood supermarket, fighting to attract customers and bending over backwards to satisfy their tastes and needs.

The result would have been unthinkable for the pioneers in online casinos. An example which stands out is Red Lounge Casino, which is one of the most popular online casinos in the UK – mainly thanks to some of its unique features.

Red Lounge recently launched an online casino blog – a phenomenon which would have sounded absurd until quite recently. Blogging is an internet phenomenon which has developed extremely rapidly since its emergence, and is now a preferred activity for many internet users. On the Red Lounge Casino blog, customers can browse a large volume of information about the UK online casino, including press releases, articles, recent promotions, or entries from the casino’s glossary. On the one hand, this allows customers full access to any information relevant to the online casino – just like you might need to know who owns the supermarket and what ingredients there are in your favorite ice-cream. On the other hand, clients are able to share any opinions, ideas, or recommendations. Even though online gambling has often been thought to be a lonely place, there is no reason why it should continue to be so – shopping for one does not mean you cannot ask the person next to you if they have tasted the new flavor of chocolate.

Besides the online casino blog, Red Lounge Casino offers other novel features. When online casinos emerged in the first place, there were numerous concerns about the security of payments. Now payments are not only secure but amazingly quick as well. When this is combined with the UK casino’s efficient care, the result is the ability to offer a daily rebate promotion during the month of November. The daily rebate promotion allows customers to get 15% cash back on losses every time they wager more than 15 000 during the month of November. It is therefore possible for keen players to get cash backs up to 30 times during the month of November. The cash will be calculated and issued at 9 p.m. London time.

Another unconventional feature offered by the UK online casino is an online casino glossary where customers can easily access information, gaming tips and strategies about the wide range of games offered by Red Lounge – sounds similar to the weekly promotion brochure in the supermarket, doesn’t it?

So, have online casinos actually turned into supermarkets? No, they are simply trying to offer new and attractive features – a must in an environment of fierce competition where customers are flattered and flirted with by everyone.
